Villa Cornarea is perched on top of the homonymous hill that overlooks the small town of Canale. This antique residence is Art Nouveau styled, elegant and with a strong personality.
Restored and inaugurated in 2004, it is the ideal location for a relaxing getaway in the heart of Roero.
The sight of amazing landscapes is delightful, surrounded by a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere, far from the hustle and bustle. You can enjoy the luxury of spending time on life's pleasures.
Villa Cornarea and its gardens are nestled in the heart of magnificent vineyards. It is property of the Bovone family, who, for thirty years, have also been owners of Cellar Cornarea which produces great wines such as Roero Arneis, Roero, Nebbiolo and passito Tarasco.
In the Villa you’ll find nine different rooms with private bathrooms and one apartment.
The ambience and the atmosphere are painstakingly detailed, with antique pieces of furniture, tapestry and decorations.
The bedrooms are on all three floors of the building. On the ground floor, the rooms are provided with comfortable private patios. On the first and second floor the wide panoramic terraces give an astonishing view of the vineyards, from Roero and Langhe to the Alps.
Azure Suite: It was the bedroom of the first owner, the lawyer Mr. Eugenio Grillone and today it remains exactly as the original design. The wide vaulted roof is decorated with stucco work; the antique “boat-shaped” bed; the floor with “cementine genovesi” tiles: everything recalls the beauty and peace of the house and leads us back to ancient times. Embraced by this atmosphere, we can easily understand the Latin motto carved above the door: In quiete salus (“Where stillness, is health”).
The bathroom provides every kind of comfort, hot tub included.
Guests can access the terrace on the second floor tower. In summertime wine tasting is possible and the Cornarea wines are produced from the grapes in the vineyards below.
In the Venetian Suite, which is just as elegant as the Azure Suite, you’ll also find a wide vaulted roof. A warm and cozy atmosphere is created by the sumptuous chandelier in glazed fine china, the curtains and the original floor made of Canadian maple wood. The view from the four windows and the small balcony of the bathroom is absolutely stunning.
Guests can access the terrace on the third floor tower. In summertime wine tasting is possible and the Cornarea wines are produced from the grapes in the vineyards below.
