The exhibition develops through the upper part of the fort and tells the story of the Maritime Alps. Throughout history, they have been a site of continuous and fertile comings and goings, a point of departure and arrival for peoples, ideas, arts, crafts, goods and innovations. The display offers a new perspective, inspiring visitors to reflect on the strategic importance of mountain places, not just as offering opportunities for offensive and defensive military manoeuvres, but as places where environmental and cultural biodiversity should be preserved and valued.
